We only list a business when independent, up-to-date sources agree that it is trading: its own website, the food hygiene register, its company's own list of branches, official registers such as the NHS, OpenStreetMap and Visit Lewes. A single old record is not enough. If any source shows a place has closed, it comes off the list straight away, and each card says which sources confirmed it and when. Everything is checked again every week.
